Black Platinum Energy Ltd is engaged in oil and gas exploration activities. It has six Production Sharing Contract blocks of which it operates 2 blocks and is a non-operator in 4 blocks. The Company is seeking candidates for the role of :
Purchasing Specialist/ Office AdministratorThe job entails undertaking basic day to day procurement duties and administering office activities for approximately 25 people as outlined below and will report to the Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid as required under BPMIGAS PTK 007;
2. Prepares purchase & service orders or bid requests;
3. Reviews bid proposals and provides recommendations to senior management (within budgetary limitations and scope of authority);
4. Review orders to determine product types and quantities required to meet end user requirements;
5. Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as Purchase Order/Sales Order Logs and Contracts Register;
6. Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services amongst various departments within the Company;
7. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule as well as handling any product or service issues;
8. Interfaces with the Company s building landlord on office matters and manages the physical office area.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
An applicant should have the following requirements:
a) A minimum four year undergraduate degree in business from an accredited Indonesian university;
b) A good understanding of general purchasing controls and procedures;
c) At least 5 years work experience in procurement, preferably with an oil & gas company;
d) A thorough understanding of BP MIGAS procurement regulations and guidelines e.g. PTK 007;
e) Fluent (both in writing and speaking) Bahasa Indonesia and English.
