Overview:

Chevron’s Indonesian Business Unit (IBU) is accepting online applications for the position of a Shelf Drill Site Manager (Company Representative) in Balikpapan, Indonesia. This is a 28/28 rotating position to supervise offshore drilling and some workover/completion operations.

Chevron offers an expatriate program designed to achieve the following:


  • Address the financial and logistical challenges of employees relocating internationally




  • Serve as a competitive incentive to take an expatriate assignment



  • Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Direct day to day operations on drilling, completion, workover and intervention operations.




  • Manage rig contractor personnel and service partners.




  • Manage logistics for personnel and equipment to and from location.




  • Provide accurate daily reports to superintendent.




  • Maintain accurate cost control.

    This is a safety sensitive position.

    Required Basic Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent.




  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.




  • Offshore drilling experience with directional drilling, workovers, completions, sand control and SIMOPs.




  • Demonstrated leader with proven record and behaviors to promote rig site safety for an incident free workplace.




  • Ability and willingness to supervise and mentor national work force and experienced new hire expats.




  • Ability to establish constructive and inclusive working relationships to facilitate coordination of offshore activities




  • Applicants must be able to successfully complete IADC Well Control. Additional technical training will be available through company's internal training program.

    Preferred Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree.




  • Knowledgeable in all areas of offshore drilling operations (directional drilling; drilling fluid systems; rig operations using jack-up, tender assist and swamp barge rigs; cementing, etc.)




  • Demonstrates ability to apply new technology.




  • BOP certification or the ability to obtain it.




  • Subsea well control certification a plus.

    Relocation Options:




  • Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters.
