OPAC Barata, a consultant company in oil and gas industry is established since 1999. Our Long Term Aim is to create and give value. Both tangible and in the hearts and minds of the people who work here and deal with us. Currently we have some projects with one of International Oil Services Company and require contract personnel for positions below:

1. PIPELINE ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Supervise entirely the design of the offshore pipeline, risers, shore approach and onshore section including pipe laying engineering performed by the EPSC Contractor
• Ensure that the design is performed in full compliance with the contract requirements and TOTAL general specification
• Alert the Head of Project engineering department of any deviation to contract technical specifications or TOTAL GS
• Provide technical answers to Contractor technical queries related to the pipeline
• Provide with continuous technical valuation on pipeline by placing emphasis on
technical risks control and mitigation during detailed engineering, qualification and manufacturing stages
• Provide input to the resolution of technical issues associated with the pipeline and generally assist the EPSC Contract Manager in the interfaces management with other EPSC packages (jacket, topside, installation)
• Assist in the definition of QA/QC plan for the pipeline
• Ensure the resolution of the pipeline installation related matters and ensure optimization of offshore works.

In relation with the above, the pipeline engineer shall:
• Assist the Project engineer on aspects related to qualification, prototype, manufacturing and acceptance testing
• Assist the Project engineer on the resolution of specific technical issues at the onshore tie-in interfaces
• Assist in the preparation of pipeline pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in liaison with the Commissioning Engineer
• Organize the work with due consideration for HSE rules to be enforced within the team and towards the main Contractor and sub-contractors.

REQUIREMENT:
• Offshore/ocean Engineering (most preferable)
• Civil-Structure or Mechanical (optional)
• 6-10 Years in Oil and Gas Onshore and offshore (subsea) Pipeline Project
• Have exposure in oil and gas onshore and offshore pipeline design engineering (at least 4 years)
• Have exposure in oil and gas onshore and offshore pipeline installation engineering (at least 2 years)
• Have ever been involved in oil and gas onshore, offshore pipeline construction and shore approach pipeline construction
• Familiar in using International code and standard for oil and gas pipeline i.e: ASME, DNV, API, etc
• Have experience in using pipeline software: AutoPIPE/Caesar, OFFPIPE/Orcalay, AGA - on bottom stability, Sage Profile


2. SENIOR INSTRUMENT/ CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure that the Instrumentation and control system design is developed throughout the different phases of the
• Project according to TOTAL technical and safety referential, international codes and standards and local regulations
• Provide senior technical expertise in Instrumentation and control system to the Project Management team
• Review and comment in due time all engineering documents and drawings from the Contractors and Vendors of
• the Contracts he is assigned to during all the phases of the Work (FEED, EPSC)
• Issue recommendations to Lead Discipline Engineer for Contractor’s and Vendor’s technical queries and
• deviations in compliance with the TOTAL referential
• Provide assistance to the Project Management Teams for Inspection, Factory Acceptance Test at Vendor s
• premises, Yard and Site activities
• Provide assistance, as requested, to the TOTAL Commissioning teams
• Consolidates and prepare for logging into the Vendor Management System all relevant information, feedback for
• the Vendors for instrumentation and control system
• Proposes Quality feed back notices to the Lead Discipline Engineer and participates in the consolidation of the
• discipline knowledge and feedback management
• Participate, as requested, in Vendors and Contractors qualification audits
• Assist the Project Management teams in proposing replies to internal technical and safety engineering audits
• Coach and participate into the integration of new comers in his discipline as applicable
• Acting for Lead Discipline Engineer whenever required.

REQUIREMENT
• Engineering degree from a recognized University in the discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas sector for engineering in instrumentation and control system
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Proficient with Oil and Gas International Codes and Standards for the discipline.
